What is the National Technology Initiative? Why is it Needed?

The National Technology Initiative is a holistic development vision that aims to strengthen Turkey's domestic and national production capacity in high-technology fields. In today's world, independence and sustainable development are directly related to the ability to produce technology. For this vision to be realized on the ground, it is crucial for young people to take an active role in R&D, engineering, and project development processes.

Hayrat National Technology Teams

A strong and independent future is directly related to the ability to produce high technology. The National Technology Initiative vision aims to strengthen domestic and national production in R&D, engineering, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, human capital, and infrastructure. With Hayrat Technology Teams, we are working to increase the participation of young people in this ecosystem and enable them to take an active role in technology development processes.

What Do We Do?

Hayrat Technology Teams implement training and development programs for the establishment of TEKNOFEST teams and the execution of preparation processes for competitions, in line with the National Technology Initiative. Young people who want to join the teams are gradually trained through internship and education programs, gaining skills in project development, teamwork, and competition discipline. In this process, in addition to technical competencies, responsibility, awareness, and a service mindset are also central.

Our Achievements and Goal

The rankings achieved in the TEKNOFEST process are concrete outcomes of the work carried out:

• 2023: Turkey's 4th place in the Education Technologies theme
• 2024: Robolig (University and Above) Turkey's 2nd place
• 2025: Turkey's 1st place in the Unmanned Ground Vehicle category

Our 2026 goal: To reach more young people by participating in the TEKNOFEST process with a total of 15 teams, including 10 university teams and 5 high school teams, to establish a sustainable team ecosystem, and to strongly represent our country in different categories.
