Kaffarah Donations

Kaffarah, in Islam, is a financial or physical act of worship required to compensate for certain mistakes and violations committed knowingly or intentionally (such as breaking a fast or an oath). This act of worship aims to cover the mistake, atone for it, and seek forgiveness from Allah.

The Meaning of Kaffarah

The word 'Kaffarah' has Arabic origins and means 'to cover, to conceal.' In a religious context, it means to atone for a mistake or negligence by paying a penalty.

Situations Requiring Kaffarah

The most common situations that require Kaffarah are:

Breaking the Ramadan fast intentionally without a valid excuse

Breaking an oath made in the name of Allah

Kaffarah for Fasting

For a person who breaks the Ramadan fast without a valid excuse, the Kaffarah is to fast for 60 consecutive days, in addition to making up the 1 missed day of fasting.

Kaffarah for Oaths

The Kaffarah for a broken oath is;

To feed or clothe 10 needy people

If this is not possible, to fast for 3 days

is how it is fulfilled.

In Case of Inability

Individuals who are unable to perform the Kaffarah due to health or financial reasons should fulfill this responsibility when their circumstances permit.

Oath Kaffarah Donation Process

Oath Kaffarah donations are reliably delivered in kind or in cash to beneficiaries who are meticulously identified by our staff and volunteers.

The main goal of this process is both to ensure the act of worship is performed correctly and to provide direct support to those genuinely in need.

2026 Oath Kaffarah Amount

For the year 2026, based on the Fitrana amount of 240 TL set by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the oath Kaffarah is calculated for 10 needy people, totaling 2,400 TL.

This amount is the minimum donation. Our donors may contribute a higher amount if they wish.
