What is "I Have a Brother"?

"I Have a Brother" is a special education and solidarity project run by Hayrat Aid. The project aims to bridge geographical distances by strengthening cultural, economic, educational, and social collaboration across cities.

Through this project, we connect with our global community and support the orphanages and education centers that we have established in underserved countries.

Why "I Have a Brother"? – The Harsh Reality of Educational Inequality

Globally, millions of children, especially in underdeveloped and impoverished nations, are deprived of their right to education. According to UNESCO data, 244 million children worldwide are currently out of school.

This profound inequality is concentrated in Asia and Africa, where poverty robs children of educational opportunities.

Key Barriers to Education:

Poverty: Families struggling to survive prioritize child labor over schooling, leaving education financially out of reach.

Conflict & Crises: Wars, natural disasters, and instability destroy schools or disrupt access to education.

Poor Infrastructure: Lack of school buildings, overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, and missing basic supplies.

Governance Failures: Inadequate education budgets, political instability, and corruption cripple school systems.

For these reasons, many children in Africa and Asia are deprived of an education, making them vulnerable to extremist ideologies, missionary exploitation, and other harmful influences.

What We Do

Through the "I Have a Brother" project, Hayrat Aid strives to give hope and a brighter future to children in need of education.

To date, we have opened over 40 orphanages and education centers across 21 countries, serving orphaned and disadvantaged children.

At These Centers, We Provide:

• Shelter, meals, and basic necessities

• Access to formal education

• Supplementary tutoring and skill-building programs

• Foundational Islamic education
