The Need for Education and Shelter for Orphaned Children in Azez

Years of war in Syria have left thousands of children orphaned and deprived of safe education and proper shelter. In the Azez region, the growing number of students has exceeded the capacity of existing facilities. Therefore, the need for a modern and secure education center for orphaned children is greater than ever.

What Are We Doing as Hayrat Aid? | Azez Orphan and Hifz Education Center

Since 2017, we have been operating the Azez Orphan Education Center, providing hundreds of children with shelter, basic education, Hifz education, and social development support. In response to increasing needs, we began the construction of a new and modern Orphan and Hifz Education Center in 2025.

This new center is designed to support the academic, spiritual, and social development of orphaned children and will include:

-Classrooms and study areas with a capacity of 150 students

-Modern dormitories and study halls for 100 boarding students

-A cafeteria and social activity areas

-A mosque to support children’s spiritual development

-A total usable area of 1,800 m²

Once completed, the center will provide hundreds of orphaned children with a safe living environment, quality education, and long-term support that will positively transform their lives.
