In regions plagued by income inequality and economic hardship, hundreds of thousands struggle to envision a better future. These challenges are particularly felt by women in impoverished areas who face barriers such as gender inequality, societal pressures, and economic constraints. As they seek sustainable income and support for their families, they often find themselves searching for solutions.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our sustainable development projects have equipped more than 200 widowed women and mothers of orphans in Yemen with tailoring, embroidery, and other relevant skills, empowering the women to enter the workforce, work from home, and provide a steady income for their families. Our goal is for the women to support themselves and have a sustainable source of income.
We aim to establish new sewing workshops throughout Africa, like the one in Burkina Faso, where we will train orphaned youth in tailoring, embroidery, and other relevant skills that will enable them to secure employment. Upon successfully completing the training, these young people will get sewing machines to help them start their own businesses in the future.
After a skills assessment, beneficiary families get their sewing machines. Those successfully completing the training are provided with machines, while those still in training continue with further training. For two years, we monitor the progress of these families and offer guidance as needed. We also assist families in connecting with wholesalers and manufacturers to create a sustainable income.
Your generous donations can make a real difference in the lives of these individuals and their families. Let's work together to build a sustainable future!
