In 2025, heavy monsoon rains have severely affected the northern regions of Pakistan, particularly Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Local sources report that thousands of households have been rendered uninhabitable, and many people have lost their lives. Flooding and torrents continue in the region, leaving the population struggling to meet their basic needs, making the struggle for survival even more difficult, and increasing the need for international aid.
