The leader of Palestinian Islamic Movement also referred to as the Guard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Raid Salah visited the Hayrat Aid. Eating his lunch together with the executives of the association, Mr. Salah was informed about the operations of the association by the Atty. Hakki Aygun, the Chairman of the Association, during the meeting which took approx. four hours.
Saying that they are designing an aid project for the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Muslims living in the region during the meeting, Mr. Aygun stated that they will start to implement this project in the following days. Highlighting that the issue with Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque is a bleeding wound, Mr. Aygun said that everybody should be sensitive to this issue. Telling about the raising and training model they are currently applying, Atty. Hakki Aygun said, “we have thousands of qualified adolescents who are dedicated to provide service.”
Pointing out that they are impressed by the raising model of Hayrat, and they would like to apply this model to the adolescents living in Palestine and Jerusalem, Sheikh Raid Salah said, “Hayrat’s model of training the adolescents is a very effective method. The people trained by this method will dedicate them to Islam with a very strong faith. We also would like to learn about this method and apply it in Palestine. We need this.” Saying that they create course circles in Jerusalem and Palestine, Sheikh Raid Salah pointed out that they will add a Risale-i Nur (Epistles of Light) course ring to these course circles when they get back to their country.
Saying that they try to hold on to life in occupied Jerusalem, Mr. Raid Salah told about the works they performed.
Adding that he is in Turkey because of the 6th International Union of Islam and Risale-i Nur Symposium, Mr. Raid Salah highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity in his speech.
Arabic books were presented to Sheikh Raid Salah who later wandered around the head office of the association and made explorations.
