Hayrat Aid Foundation transported 500 packs of food aid to needy people in Hadramout in eastern Yemen.

Mohammad as-Saudi, the head of Al Barakah Aid and Development Foundation -which deals with the Yemeni part of the Aid project-, affirmed to the AA (Anatolian Agency) reporter that the food aid was handed in in the city of Seiyun.

As-Saudi stated that they aim to supply the basic needs of Yemenis and to let up their problems. He also said that the project covers Yemenis who refuge in Seiyun due to the battle in the country.

As-Saudi confirmed that more than ten thousand food aids sent by Turkish aid foundations were handed in to Aden, Lahij, Abyan, Maribor, Ibb and Al-Hudaydah and expressed his appreciation for the Turkish people and government for supporting and helping Yemeni people.Seiyun, which is the second largest town of Hadramout and under control of Yemen Government hosts thousands of Yemeni people due to its distance to the battlefield.The infographic of the aids we did until today to Yemen

In Yemen, which is ruled with a political instability, the Houthis holds the control of the capital Sana and some other areas since September 2014.

The coalition forces which are led by Saudi Arabia supports the Yemeni government against the Houthis since March 2015.

Thousands of people lost their lives during the 4-years of battle. Yemen is one of the poorest countries in the world and the civil war causes the humanitarian crisis to get catastrophic.

According to the UN, 14 million people which makes up the %50 of the total population encounters scarcity in Yemen where one of the biggest crisis is experienced. More than twenty-two million people are in need of help and protection.

Epidemic diseases like cholera are increasing day by day due to inaccessibility to fresh water, insufficient nutrition, medication and medical materials.
